I had really hoped to attend the reunion this year. I have not been to one in the past either because I haven't been notified or the timing was bad. However,it is really difficult for me to get there at Thanksgiving because of family commitments here in Texas. We don't normally come to Pittsburgh at Thanksgiving because of time constraints. For me, summer would be a much better time. I could plan a vacation to see my in-laws around the reunion. Sorry it didn't work out. I know you all put a lot of work into the planning.

Sorry to hear about the cancellation. I hope we can arrange something in the near future. Some suggestions Another date...November and December really tough during the holidays Jan and Feb..slow down and people are actually looking for things to do. Here in Chicago they hook the reunion date to a high football or basketball game on a friday or saturday night Then the get together can be at the school/gym or a fun place in downtown Pittsburgh - that offers a little more variety and options for out of towners. You might even consider a summer family get together at one of local pools/parks and then a dinner after ??? If I think of anything else I will definitely keep in touch.

I think the weekend chosen was probably the problem. I'm sure many people live out of town at this point and have family functions planned. Truthfully, I was disappointed at the turnout for the 20th reunion. Seriously, about 130 people including dates for a class of 531? There are many people I have lost contact with and would like to catch up with for an evening. I always thought that a reunion with the class of 1973 and 1975 would be a great idea. I had friends in both classes and it would be an opportunity to connect with everyone.It would also give you more options and people to coordinate the event,as well as a better possible turnout. I think one of the summer months would be a better time for people to travel. Let me know if I can help or do anything at this end. Thanks to you and everyone else who tried to coordinate this. SECURED A MOTEL NEAR THE AIRPORT FOR THE WEEKEND (ONE THAT I CANNOT GET A REFUND FOR)...SO I WILL BE OUT THERE FOR THAT WEEKEND AND PROBABLY GO SEE THE STEELERS. What a bummer to hear the event has been canceled. Thank you to the reunion committee and hello to anyone who reads this, if it gets posted. I live in Pittsburgh but don't ever see anyone from the class.

Thoughts, I cannot tell you how disappointed I was to hear of the cancellation. I have been to all of the reunions and each one was a blast. Those of you who don't make it don't know what you are missing. Each time I attend without my husband, he does not know anyone so for him its more fun not to come. So don't let a party pooping spouse stop you. I read the other comments and agree with those who said something in the summer might be better. We have had other reunions in the summer. Maybe summer of 2005-better later than never. Thanks to the committee for the work they did, lets show them how much we appreciate their hard work and attend the next event.

Thoughts, I must agree with most on this page, the summer seems a better time especially for the out-of-towners. I attended the 20th and the 25th and had a great time. It was then I realized how many friends I did have in High School, and how many I graduated with from elementary school. Thanksgiving is a bad time with family, travel etc. I came close to attending this year but held off to see what kind of turnout we were getting. I'm glad I didn't get stuck with expensive airline tickets. Thanks to all that worked so hard and hope to hear something soon.
